Deleting a search result display
If you are no longer using a specific search result display or need to remove it from the system, you can delete it.
If you delete a search result display while another administrative user is editing that search result display, the software displays a message to the other administrative user indicating that the record has been updated or deleted by another user, and prevents them from saving any changes that they may have made to the search result display. To continue making changes to this search result display, the other administrative user must choose Cancel to reload the data and, if the search result display is still available, re-enter their changes.

If you delete a search target that has a search result display associated with it, Portfolio deletes all the settings associated with the search target, including all search result displays. If you delete a search result display that has been selected for a profile, the software removes the search result display from the profile and assigns the corresponding default search result display. You cannot delete a default search result display. |

If you add, edit, or remove a search results display, you must refresh the Discovery search cache afterwards. Your changes are not reflected in Searching or the Admin console until you refresh the search cache. For more information about refreshing the Discovery search cache, see Refreshing the search cache. |
